Oh yay time to vent!
Standardized testing; I got a good ACT score but I had to work my *** off to do so. I didn’t learn anything and I had to spend countless hours of my life on this one test.
The pressure to inflate resumes and do things “just for college”.
It also doesn’t make sense why the admissions process isn’t solely based on grades. I don’t understand how having some random talent/winning some arbitrary awards can “trump” good grades and strong academic credentials, after all, isn’t college about education?
I’m also scared that the people reading my application are going to be having a bad day/suffering from a sickness/undergoing some circumstance that might tip my application out of my favor. I acknowledge that I can’t do anything to prevent this, but it doesn’t keep me from worrying.
