Yes, this has (almost) happened to me several times! I’ve had to cancel and reorder so my packages didn’t go to my D’s college mailroom.
This happened to me but I accidentally had my “subscribe and save” sent to my father in a different state. He gave me some of the stuff but he fell in love with the mopping liquid I had ordered and asked to keep it (!).

I have 5 adult kids who use my Amazon account, only 1 lives here full time (2 just graduated from college). For whatever reason, although I am the default address, I have to change it often when I order. I probably cancel an order at least once a month after I submit it and realize I messed up yet again.

Oh this would drive me crazy. Like a more intense version of when someone leaves the driver’s seat so close you bang your knees getting in.

Also, make sure that you check which card you are using to charge the purchase, I often pay for my parents groceries…

lol that’s what Venmo is for! Gets even more confusing when someone adds a gift card.
