Do all you can and can afford to ensure your best possible SAT and/or ACT results

Make sure you’re pursuing a rigorous course of study this year and next with as much meat in science (chem esp.) and math (thru calc, if possible) as you can get and stand.

Seek and engage in genuine enrichment activities.

Pursue genuineness, excellence, and leadership in your ECs and work.

Develop your physical plant

Play on a team and work at being a stellar teammate

Learn to swim well

Consider attending NASS, and plan to submit your app on or about 01 Feb 2010.

Learn all you can about USNA and more so about career options and potential areas of interest in USN and USMC.

Begin to identify steps, timetable and checklist for the process of seeking an appointment. (Get organized for battle)

Read the paper, watch the news (preferably Fox) ;

Talk to your math and Eng teachers this year and discuss what you need to do to ensure their outstanding recommendation.

Do it/those.

Find out who your local BGO officer is.

Alert your Senators and Congressman of your intent to pursue their nomination and find out their time schedules and processes for doing so.

Watch the Military Channel this Sunday, Mon, Tues and/or 12 Aug to get a glimpse of 3 of 4 potential USN professional communities. (surface warfare, aviation, subs …no USMC)

Now, get these done and check back tomorrow. :eek:
