<p>Not knowing the specifics, this is difficult to answer, but I got the impression that you are also asking how your D should feel about the person who was being called, if she were not to get in to this school. You say that your D, knows this second person and that it is not someone at the college. If that is the case, keep in mind that a student can have glowing recommendations and still be rejected from a school based on many, many other factors. There would be no justification to feel differently about the person on the receiving end of that phone call, no matter what happens.</p>
