What specifically are you asking AI for help?

Was this an app that ran on a phone or computer? And did Claude give directions on how to install it?

Claude wrote code so that I can use it like an app. I access it through the Claude app on my phone.

It looks something like this

open Claude app

the tracking sheet is either open when I do that or I just go to my history and hit “tracking sheet” ( the name I gave it) and it takes me to the document to open it. This is what it opened to when I hit the app icon

It shows me my daily tasks /weekly tasks

I check them off as I do them

It was very easy to make. This was the original prompt I give.

I’d like to make a way to track my cleaning tasks. This is my daily cleaning schedule

Monday - Mirrors, glass, windows
Tuesday - toilet and trash
Wednesday - wash towels, sheets, etc
Thursday - Tidy/dust
Friday - Floors
Saturday - deck and outside

Daily kitchen shut down

I also detail one area a week.

Week 1 kitchen
Week 2 living room, dining room, music room
Week 3 foyers/ stairs/ powder room
Week 4 bedroom/ basement

I then did just a few revisions, like changing some tasks and adding exercise. You can update whenever you want to make revisions. I was really impressed as I’ve tried the same thing with ChatGPT and it didn’t give me what I wanted. For things that require coding, I will stick with Claude.

Yes, it gave me detailed instructions on how to add it to my phone. I hit a snag because I wasn’t running Safari and it walked me through it.

I had fun with AI today - husband pulled out three bottles of wine for me to choose one for our tiny Rosh Hashana dinner (at least two out of three were old gifts). Then I thought, hmm, husband wants to make Cornish hens. I have a few recipes. But instead, I asked Google AI for recipes for Cornish hen that would go with that specific wine. It came up with a couple of nice recipes and explained why the wine paired well with the ingredients. I’m not at all a wine connoisseur so never much pay attention to that - but now we’ll have a well paired entree :baby_chick: and wine :wine_glass: .

My husband has an ancient office chair and since I have dabbled in upholstery asked me to help him reupholster it. We got some faux leather and I was having trouble with sewing it on my machine. I did the usual things, adjusted the stitch length, changed the needle, etc. Finally I asked AI and it immediately recommended a microtex needle and polyester thread which did the trick. I might have gotten there eventually or I might have walked away in frustration but AI solved the problem in seconds.

I am still trying to get to the bottom of a life insurance issue for H’s family. AI has given me a lot of very helpful information.

Today I put in the Google search: “hot muggy day ac in attic overflow to outside gutter drain”. (Yes, I immediately turned off the AC.) And Google AI told me all about my primary drain line likely blocked or clogged, and the emergency pan, and the drain line from that. And that the emergency drain line was:

specifically routed to a highly visible spot—like your roofline or directly over an outside gutter—to capture your attention and warn you of a problem before your ceiling floods

Which I do appreciate! Husband will contact our HVAC guy tomorrow, even though AI assures me we could probably clear the main line ourselves with our wet/dry shop vac. Dream on, AI.

Currently on vacation, but when we get home I am going to use AI as my personal nutritionist. The advantage of AI for me is that I can have immediate access at times that are convenient for me. No prescheduling. I plan to have it make meal plans to meet certain macros based on what I want to eat for the next few days, recipes I may want to incorporate, using up what is in the fridge, and my schedule of social commitments. Rather than a traditional nutritionist where I then would be locked into a 1-2 week meal plan that is too rigid and bound to fail, I feel this will be flexible enough that if I want to change something I should be able to do it on the fly. I plan on connecting each night to review the day and make a plan for the following day. We’ll see how it goes.

For me, an advantage is that I have access to all of my previous chats/threads at all times. I can delete questions or threads if I want, but I can also keep them and access them on the go. For example, we were looking for a stove/oven and I was trying to figure out pros and cons of different brands. While in the stores, I could easily look up the info. I was able to add new data such as “store xyz will do free shipping and haul-away” to make my pros/cons list more personalized.

I was able to do more research into which cabins were noisy on an upcoming cruise. It made one mistake about the ship layout but when I asked it to revisit it and told it more info it corrected it.

Be sure to pour a little vinegar or bleach into the line every 6 months or so to keep it from clogging. Lots of videos online to show you how.
