What store to dorm shop?

Yes, @NewHavenCTmom, it was halogen.

scholarme, I bought D a set of quick dry towels for her freshman year and they are in the attic now. She didn’t like them.

Thanks missypie.

If you are travelling, I would find a store that you can order online, but pick up at the store. It will save room in the car, and ensure the items are in stock.

I lied! Lol There IS a Home Goods a few towns over. I just didn’t realize it, silly me…I stopped in today and was very impressed. The old Home Goods were a part of TJMAXX. This one is all on its own.

I may be in trouble. I’ve heard good things about the quick dry towels and I bought several of them for my son to use in college. My older son never got anything all the way dry in the dorms, so I like the idea of them.

Went shopping (again) for dorm supplies for D. There were several moms( of sons) shopping alone for supplies. I have enjoyed the time with my D.

DS was not enthused about any dorm shopping, but he is forever thankful that I go him a mattress topper. Two years in and it is still well-loved. He even brings it home with him to sleep at the house-obviously he is not flying. The other item that we had to have was a duvet cover from Company Store. It is soft yet sturdy and came in a “masculine” color.

My friend’s DS went off to an ivy across the country with just a pillow and a sleeping bag (he would not take sheets or a comforter). She envied the dorm “decorating” my DD wanted to do. I envied my friend whose son simply took the sleeping bag he already owned, saving time & money!
