<p>Actually, I bet I know what it really is - your parents probably paid a flat fee at the beginning of the year (that was an option for me as well, but we did the math and it’s a lot cheaper to just do it yourself).</p>

<p>@sunnyholiday: There will soon be a deluge of communications from Mudd to your kiddo, mostly by email. 
Looking back at last year’s archive of geek<em>son’s “college search” account, the checklist for all the forms (including dorm and sponsor matching surveys) was announced on May 30. geek</em>son got his HMC email address last June 15 and his room assignment last August 1.</p>

<p>no, it’s not a coin laundry machine. it’s just a normal domestic laundry machine in every dorm so it’s not like some people down pay and some don’t.</p>
<p>My son uses Claremont cash for the laundry. But that is so he doesn’t have to find quarters.</p>
