What to buy

Agree with everyone that less is more and the absolute necessities is a very short list. The only thing I was glad I did was send a small plastic snap lid container stocked with cold medicine, bandaids, ointment, pain reliever, nail clippers and tweezers etc. The first time each boy got sick or scaped or a sliver they were so very happy not to have to find a store. And each one texted me to tell me how every happy they were to have “remembered” that I sent that small kit. The other essential for mine were the contact adhesive strips. They sell out very fast at the local stores.

Momofthree…I sent both of my kids with that plastic box too. My son used his. When DD graduated, we tossed hers completely full as I left it on move in day…never was touched!

All my son used was the ibuprofen and the band aids.

Regular jersey knit twin sheets fit xlong twin beds nicely…if your kid likes those. Seriously…they stretch over everything nicely. In fact, we bought DD x long twin jerseys at BBB and returned them for regular jersey twin.

Hah Thumper perhaps that says something about girls (they go to health service when sick and they don’t wound themselves in their day to day life). On top of the little cold and wound kit, both of my college boys have made at least one trip to the hospital during their college years.

My daughter was the band aid supplier for all of her friends last year - so I was glad I sent her with a box.

To decorate their walls send them with pictures of their friends, cheap posters, calendar pictures, etc.
