What to do if your on the waiting list?

Have you went to this website: <a href=“Apply to Dartmouth | Dartmouth Admissions”>Apply to Dartmouth | Dartmouth Admissions;

That’s what Dartmouth is asking from the waitlisted students and I wouldn’t recommend doing more than what they are asking for.
You can send in a letter of update, but I will make it short and on point without any unnecessary stuff. You actually should’ve sent this letter already, early April or so.

I’ve already said this in another waitlist post but,
there’s not much you can do at this moment as the admissions will fill (if they are even going to) their class from the waitlist by replacing people who have turned down the acceptance; for instance, if a tuba player chose Cornell over Dartmouth and Dartmouth needs someone who plays Tuba, a Tuba player from the waitlist will get accepted.

You have a really low chance of getting off the waitlist and my advice is to just move on. If you get off, great, but the chance of getting rejected is way greater, and you shouldn’t expect much out of it. Bigger the expectation, bigger the disappointment, so move on.
