he’s a funny guy and I don’t think you’re taking his joking about a past incident that he actually does believe you on very well

suck it up, he won’t call the school, or else he would have reported it to the high school anyway

Record a class in which he makes fun of you, then show it to your principal and tell him/her what’s going on.

I don’t get why so many people on this thread seem to think that it’s okay for a teacher to do this.
Since when has it ever been okay for a teacher to degrade a student (whether joking or not) in front of other students?

I’m sticking with what I originally said: the op should privately talk to the teacher. If it really is as serious as he/she thinks, and the teacher refuses to change his behavior, go to the principal or someone higher ranked than the teacher to discuss the problem.

This teacher may think he’s being funny, but if the recipient is taking it to heart, I would call this bullying, not to be taken from classmates, and most certainly not from a teacher.

don’t be a baby

Solution: make him pity you. " teary ='( my mom died…JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!" Note: Dramatize more.

I have a teacher that used to verbally abuse me when I was in 7th grade. She gave me asthma and I not no longer trust any teacher whatsoever. She is known to be a slacker teacher and never really payed attention (i.e. checking facebook during class) but she had tenure so we were stuck with her. She would make fun of me and my friends and no matter how many conferences we had with the school vice principal and her she still managed to lie her way out of it. It still scares me to this day to think that she WAS someone that I trusted, and now because of her I don’t trust any teachers. I wish I could tell a dramatic tale of how I conquered her and got her fired but no such luck. She still teaches to this day and I still don’t have the guts nor the balls to go ahead and talk to her again. She used to show us tests before we took them so technically we went ahead and got to see them before the test and everyone got hundreds. It wasn’t fair to the rest of the class and I plan to start a pep rally and try to go ahead and muster my courage to talk to her but I can’t risk it. I am the school president of my school and I can’t risk bringing more publicity to my name (I’m really shy) and I don’t want my friends to think that I am a really needy person or worse. I know that this may be strange but if you’re a teacher or a guidance counselor… what should I do? I want to confront her but whenever I do I always get an asthma attack and can’t speak at all. I don’t want to send an e-mail because she could forward that to the school and get me in trouble because some loophole she would find. In other words what should I do?

Some teachers are bullies, plain and simple. What does a bully say when confronted? “Aw, lighten up! I was just kidding.”
