What to feed someone who recently had a heart attack

I’d make a pot of cabbage soup–you can use low-salt chicken broth and include other veggies as well. This is a Weight Watchers recipe that I use. The only modification I make is NOT to use the spray oil to sauté the onions, garlic, and carrots. I use 2T of real extra virgin olive oil and add the tomato paste to this mixture and then add the broth and cabbage and other vegetables. Soup is something that gets better each day, it’s healthy, and your neighbor can have it for several meals. The recipe calls for non-fat broth–you could also look for low-salt broth.
