No…the High Line during the day. You had a couple of during the day times on your list. I only mentioned Herald Square for an idea of location. That might be a nice Sunday morning thing to do.

If you are having lunch in Little Italy check online for the prices at Lunella. You probably could get lunch there for $15… But it’s going to be a close call if you are including tip and beverage.

Central Park: Go to Belvedere castle.
Little Italy: Ferrara pastry.
Fifth Ave. early Sunday: The Apple store on 59th is open 24/7.
I think the shopping in SoHo is better than Chinatown.
Bryant Park could be worth a visit, too – just off Fifth Ave., not far from Times Square.

Check the forecast and wear whatever you wear at home as weather appropriate. Nobody will care, I promise. I visit NYC for a week every single year. If I happen not to have a weather apporpriate clothes, my family would provide me with whatever, which may be my 13 y o GrandS’s clothing (I am a female). Believe me, NOBODY will care.

FAO Schwartz at 58th and 5th is open all day Sunday. I know these are older kids, but heck, that place is fun even for adults. And they offer guided tours for groups. It would kill me to take kids someplace they can easily visit at home, like the Apple store, but the flagship FAO Schwartz is like nowhere else.

Little Italy is adjacent to Chinatown. You can easily take them to lunch in a Chinese restaurant versus an Italian restaurant. Do you have time to see Rockefeller Center on 5th Ave instead of shopping?

OP, back from the trip. Let me tell you what folks from the city were wearing (esp. on Saturday and Sunday): shorts and sun dresses! The weather forcast was for highs in the 50s, with rain and clouds. So that is what the tourists packed for. I’m not complaining when I say that we had warm sunny weather instead, so you could tell who was from there because they were the ones who could pull out their summery clothes.

In the jumble of clothing, the only outfits that really stood out to me were the Japanese girls in their “Lolita” attire.

Glad the bag worked out. Baggalini bags are not designer bags, but with all the pockets, and the light weight construction, they are great for traveling. Glad it worked out.
