What to wear on re-visit day?

Gobigred12:

Like I was saying, I’m sorry for offending you, but honestly, it was more of a light-hearted joke than a rude and ignorant comment.
I actually never made any racial comments or anything, I was seriously just stating the truth, even though those were stereotypes, they prove to be true at my school. And what do you mean by so-called ghetto? I’m sorry, but I don’t just go around making stuff up about my school. :|I live in a place where gang crime is pretty dang prevalent and fights occur at school pretty much weekly.

Anddd principalviola: top hat? xD
As in the shiny black ones broadway jazz performer-like things wear?

While you are at BS the kids around you should be looked at as are potential pals for the rest of your life, no matter what color or backgrounds they come from(or clothes they wear). Don’t let the school’s administration overly/unnaturally sensitize you all to PC. If you buy into their PC agenda too much you might miss a kid that could be one of your best/closest friends during your post BS life. If you think someone is being an insensitive jerk confront them one-on-one.

yep. totally agree, Sarum! the good thing is that when/if I reproduce/adopt, my children’s teachers will be post-racism, and my child can enjoy blissful colorblindness (like i am now, but probably will not be if the aforementioned article proves true at Mx.)

haha, a cane in hand principalviola?

lol make your coat purple and say that your grandfather is Willy Wonka and you will inherit the Wonka fortune and his factory!

Hahahhaha I’m loving the whole Willy Wonka ideaaa:)

Also, racism is by NO means okay. I can’t stand people who are racist, and it just kills me that people thought I was, even after saying that it was the truth, and it was to clarify things from my school’s perspective. :|

i totally get that. I was accused of being elitist in another thread. I actually hate the s*** out of my current school, partly becuase it’s so homogenous (mostly white, upper middle-class canadians) that it’s OKAY to make homophobic or racist comments, because there’s no one to offend. do you know how many times i’ve hearad “that’s so gay” (meaning stupid) or the n word? it really offends me because it’s an insult to a lot of my old friends ( i moved recently)

Ahhh thank you, Izzy Busy Bee.
Some people on CC need to take a chill pill, honestly. Or do something productive instead of bashing people for the tiniest things.
I CAN’T STAND IT WHEN PEOPLE USE “GAY” AS A SYNONYM FOR “STUPID”.
GAhhhhhhh
D:<
that ****es me off like no other.
And the n word?
It’s ridiculously overused at my school, and that bothers me sooo much.
But what gets on my nerves even more is that the African-American community is allowed to use it as they please to each other, with no shame, but when a Caucasian/Hispanic person calls them it, they will seriously jump you. My philosophy is just not to use it. PERIOD.
And racism? I’m Asian; using racism would be like being racist against myself.
Diversity is a beautiful thing, truuuly

I think you guys are ready for the hornets’ nest of PC at BS. Do not let what you say become misconstrued by the PC police jerks. Think before you speak. It takes 20 years to build a strong reputation and 20 seconds to lose it.

Can you please have this conversation in a pm?
Thanks.

I’m sorry if I sound really dumb, but what does PC stand for?

Only if you start to come to some Big Red Football games!:)
