It didn’t occur to me that the net gain in classrooms would be only three after Carney is gone. Is classroom space an issue?

I think McElroy will be gone in the next 5-7 years although it could be sooner. It’s replacement, again, in collegiate gothic, will be, I believe, an academic building with classrooms --certainly if there is a great lack of them that would make sense.

From what I’ve heard, Carney’s replacement will be a dining hall. What other function it might serve I don’t know. They want it to complement the gothic style that sets the tone for Middle Campus. It may include a cathedral ceiling.
