What's the dumbest advice anyone ever gave you about college?

^ Totally second being told all classes are huge! Also:

It’s cheaper to buy books really late. (Not for me. I got them early, thankfully, but the people getting them late have realized that all the texts listed ARE required and can’t find any.)

State schools are a waste. (I was accepted into Ivys, so this isn’t just my being lazy. I think I’m getting way more personal attention because I went to a state school based in research.)

Don’t bother applying if you can’t get in. (For schools, clubs, jobs, and everything else. I got into more schools than I thought, got into student council and a bunch of amazing clubs, and even landed some internships for next year that I didn’t expect.)
