<p>Parent of recent graduate here. He would echo the comments of the above posters, although he was probably one of the fall freshman partiers. I think it will let up somewhat as the semester moves along, a) the workload will deepen for classes and b) all those freshman enjoying the newfound freedom will decide maybe it’s not so great to party and puke for 3 days straight every weekend. By his sophomore year, he drank a little socially when at parties, but not much more.</p>
<p>I am curious. Two posters (at least) were from large cities and saying they were used to doing so much more, SB was a bore, etc. What type of things did you typically do in your home-towns? Please, parents, students, anyone can respond-in the last 5 years I’ve heard this comment on cc several times and I always wondered what the other things were. We are from rural midwestern area, so S never had this complaint.</p>
