<p>I don’t go to the U of C, but all my friends that go there that are from the Chicagoland area venture into the city a lot. I don’t know how often people not familiar with the city do though.</p>
<p>Chicago is a large city. there are some who are simply uncomfortable in a large city. However, most of the people I knew at Chicago frequented the many theaters, clubs, museums, and great restaurants (especially Greek town and Belmont area). Also, Chicago is not all work all the time, and there are many schools that ask a lot of students. However, the atmosphere is one of intellectual pursuit, which, of course, is what makes it special.</p>
