How come you spent 5 weeks there? That must have been so much of fun!
Haha, yeah clearly Amherst wins over this time. :P

And donât worry, most internationals donât visit. The only problem that Iâm facing is to get a male to tour around Haha, my grandfather and uncle live there but theyâre busy and so is my dad and of course, mom and I canât visit alone. Trying to work out something :)

And CONGRATS! =) I hope you get in! Nobody ever contacts my school which is probably 'cause theyâre very well-acquainted with it.
Got any other decisions by now?

It was this amazinggg program called the Center for Creative Youth; I did creative writing but there were a lot of other arts like acting and dance and stuff. Itâs really a fantastic program.

Thanks :D. Bard seems to be legit handicapped when it comes to using the Common App⊠lots of people have had strange stuff happen with theirs. And my midyear report status is âdownloadedâ. Very interesting.

Unfortunately, no. I have no clueee. Jealous of people whoâve already been accepted to like three safeties with merit scholarships and that kind of thing :(.

Hahah, 3 safeties with scholarship/FA =P
But I only like MHC from among those.
And like Iâve told you before, waitlisted at Chicago.
Letâs seeâŠmy next round of decisions starts from the 24th.
Did you have any safeties?

Oh, the Common App has its flaws. Wes was always shown as having an incomplete supplement, which doesnât exist.
Wanna hear how I applied to Wes?
I was just checking if colleges take applications after the deadline and submitted the Common App to Wes just like that on the 4th.[college-obsessed-creepiness] And that day itself, they accepted it Haha, then I thought that maybe I should just submit the materials as well. And hence, I applied. I donât expect to get in, again 'cause of the FA and Iâm not in love with it anyway. Nothingâs lost. =)

Grrr youâre one of themmm haha.
Mine too, Bryn Mawr, very excited.
And nope, no safeties, â â â .
Yup, I have that same Wes thing. But lol yeah I think colleges that donât require supplements get a lot of casual applicants. I sent an additional (really strange) letter to show that I wasnât one of them, so hopefully theyâll appreciate it. It talked about how they needed to accept me because I have a teddy polar bear named Butters after these dorms, Butterfield, where I stayed and how I hadnât eaten a sandwich from the Neon Deli in my whole five weeks there which just desperately needed to be rectified. I had a lot of fun with it lol. But yeah, theyâre super selective with their international FA :'(.

Sorry guys, this seems like a legit conversation going on, but I have to say I AM DYING I WANT TO KNOW WHETHER OR NOT I AM GETTING IN I love Wellesley.

@dancer1502: Re Chicago, Iâve heard RD acceptance rate estimates that range from 12% to 18%. Thatâs about a third of what it was when I first put it on my list. O_o

I applied to Smith, MHC, Barnard, Wellesley, Syracuse, Univ Richmond. Out of those, I visited MHC, Mount Holyoke, Wellesley and BrownâŠI stayed at Brown for a couple days in my sisâs dorm, and visited wellesley during family weekened. BIG change from Brown campus. My dad and I loved it!
Accepted to MHC, and I havenât found out any others, but Iâm crazy nervous. Especially Wellesley and Barnard, bc those are my top choices. Out of the two, Iâd probably choose Wellesley bc itâs a hop and skip away from Brown, and I could see my sis all the time without going to the same school. I would NEVER go to the same school. FA is a must, and canât go without a good lot of it. My essays werenât academic-y in the leastâŠthis may help or hurt me. I wrote about zit-picking in my Barnard app. Fatal flaw if there ever was one hahaha.

@phanatic: Yeah! I guess they wanted to surprise everyone who thought that it was relatively easier to get in. I only know of 2 kids accepted from my city as of now.

@Heartlikeasocket: You seem to really love Wes. I really do hope that you get in, youâd be ecstatic :D

@inconspicuous.s.n. : Weâre all waiting!!! I applied to Wellesley last minute again, so my interest in it might not come out. Letâs see, all I can do is hope. :)

wow. a lot of people intend to major in linguistics!! i think i put that as one of mine, tooâŠbut i took a ling course and didnt enjoy it very much.

The âcheck statusâ web site has been closed.

âThe window for checking your application status online has closed. If you are concerned that your application may not be complete, please call the admission office at 781-283-2270.â

Does that mean the result will come out anytime today?

That probably means all the decisions have been made. It does not mean they will come out today, since admissions probably has to record everything, get all the letters ready, etc. Someone posted that friday would be the date they go out.

When did everyone else receive the Wellesley e-mail? That might give us a sense of how delayed our e-mails are, and if further action is needed.

Iâm pretty sure the emails were sent to international applicants, because they can check their decisions online this Friday. Domestic applicants will receive decisions via snail mail, which will be sent out Friday, I think.
