@Twentytwentytwo - funny story: a couple years ago my D16 and a whole lot of other kids who were definitely NOT honors program potential were erroneously invited to that showcase. We all posted about it, and within 24 hours an apology e-mail that explained the “computer error” (it’s always a computer error) was sent out. So just make sure that your son really WAS invited to honors. The way to do that is to check his Application Tracker portal. Honors designation should have been added to the admission message. If it’s not there, call them. If it is there, then snail mail should follow within a few weeks.
