<p>Cable jack is included (and you don’t have to pay extra to use it) but you’ll have to bring your own TV if you want one. One phone per room is included; you don’t want to bring your own phone because it won’t work on the university’s digital phone system. Calls to the 631, 516, 212, 718, 917, and 347 area codes are free (woohoo!) but I don’t think there’s any way to call other area codes without a phone card. That’s what cell phones are for :)</p>
<p>Bringing your own bed is probably a bad idea. You’d need to find somewhere to store the school’s bed unscathed for the whole year (not easy), not to mention if your bed took up more room than the school’s, you might have a pretty ****y roommate on your hands. Or imagine if you’re tripled! Not to mention, a sofa can’t be lofted, and raising your bed can be a significant source of extra space.</p>
