No, the Student Accounts thing is down. Housing has actually arrived for the Jerseyites, some of whom have contacted their roommates already.

Actually, I think sub free housing is the second floor of Forbes this year. :)

Really? Hmm. Well I got my info from the Prince and the Rocky College website, but it could’ve changed since then. In any case, it’s nice digs, so there shouldn’t be any complaints :)

Actually, guys, sub-free in Mathey was extended to Blair 4-9 and basement. It caused an uproar amongst the sophomores, as that essentially left only 5-6 rooms open for regular draw sopohomores. (Luckily I got one of those…)

ICarGirl, lucky you…You’re going to love Blair, it’s amazing. You’re going to love Mathey too, the 08 class of Mathey was really tightknit and really cool. Having your own quad (unlike Rocky) let us hang out all the time, we were always lounging outside, partying, etc. Most of the time if you went out on Fridays or Wednesdays it was ALL mathey 08ers on the street. (so, yeah, we might be a little alcoholic haha)

sigh… i want my housing info! this is killing me!

oh and, just in case i get Butler, please dont feel bad for me, it will make me feel worse! lol!

–David–

yo zante, forbes definitely is the most beautiful college, but its closer to my hometown than it is to the equad. lol. ill trade!

and crap my room number is A125. does that mean im in the first floor of the addition in Forbes College? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

what the hell how did i get put in substance-free. that was like my first preference AGAINST.

Maybe they switched the floors (despite what the article and the Rocky newsletter say), 'cause that would be weird…and hahahaha about Forbes’s location. When you’re passing through Wilson on your way to the E-Quad, be sure to stop by. We might have some hot cocoa or something to warm you up on the last leg :D

heh heh heh.

i swear, i shouldnt trust my dad. i KNOW he edited my housing form when i gave it to him to submit…

substance free had BETTER not be first floor. otherwise, i could perhaps have my absolute last choice of dorm. looking at the picture of the addition, its like Butler architecture. eek!

Hey, uhm, can someone explain to me where Blair ends and where Buyers starts? Or are they the same building? I was looking at the floorplans for Buyers, and it says Blair/Buyers Hall.

Ooo…and how can you get “screwed over” in Rocky/Mathey? Just wondering.

Blair is the longer side. Buyers is short and has less floors and is on the other side of the arch from Blair. Some apparently still call Buyers like East Blair (or West, I forget which). You can get “screwed over” with really small bedrooms or having the closest bathroom three flights of stairs below you :)

Ooo. I see. Phil, you’re always so on top of things! I wish I could be like that. Hmm. Oh well, problem solved. I’ve looked at a floorplan, and the bathroom’s next door.

qtip - what floor are you on?

First floor

Cool
Do the basement people have windows they can open? Just wondering…

Haha, thanks. And you’re lucky, qtip. If you’ve got a decent-sized room and a bathroom next door, you’ve got some very nice Princeton real estate, haha :)

mm… not really. getting screwed over in Mathey is getting Campbell, which is like a dungeon with 4 foot wide bare corridors and has visible pipes in the walls.

lovely…and of course I’m in Campbell…and on the third floor w/ the closest bathrooms in the basement…

Heh, I always thought Campbell was preferable to Joline, and comparable to Blair but not as shiny-new. At least in Campbell, most people don’t have to bunk their beds. (Then again, there is that one awful two-room triple in Campbell… smallest triple in the school.) You’ll form your own impressions… don’t start hating your room before you arrive. :-)

And seriously… you guys don’t even have to deal with the old Hamilton. Aside from the existence of a few more singles, there was really nothing to redeem that dorm. My sophomore year was its last year of occupancy before its renovation… is it back open for you guys, or do you even know?

Ashley

It’s closed this year, from what I’ve read. A friend of mine stayed in Hamilton for JSA. He didn’t have too many complaints, although the girl who stayed in Blair did. I won’t get into that, though, haha. I’m sure we’ll all complain about our housing at one point or another in the year.
