When will the Regular decisions be released?

Okay, I’m the parent of a student who received an acceptance already . . . and we can’t get the financial link to load either. So that does not mean anything!

@jerseykid96 - Not submitting IDOC might prevent you from getting a financial aid award, but it would not prevent you from getting an admissions decision. What you’re dealing with are the eccentricities of the U.S. postal system.

Ok thank you haha. I remember reading last year that someone wasn’t considered since they didn’t submit IDOC but it was probably wrong… Did they send acceptances/rejections at the same time?

Yes, everything went out at once . . .

. . . and then the postal workers flipped a coin and decided which ones to deliver!

I got nothing… international… so … damn it

Any international student got any email or update ?

still no email btw international

Still no email for internationals :frowning: anxious

It’s still too early to expect email. You should return in 5 hours. Good luck to everyone.
This year is the most competitive year in the history of Lafayette, so give yourself a pat on the back if you make it

According to Taylor (@captainclueless), international students were to be notified on Wednesday. I am surprised that we have still not received notification.

I indicated that international students would START being notified by email on Wednesday…that does not mean they are all notified on that day.

My information comes from the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, who posted this in the Class of 2018 Facebook Group.

It will be any day now!!!

According to the Lafayette website, “International decisions are generally finalized in late February, so students may receive their decision letters by April 1. Students who are accepted will also receive notice of their acceptance via e-mail” I hope this does not mean that those of us who have not been emailed yet have been rejected.

Our idoc was late also. Admissions told me that the application was not considered complete if there was no idoc. If we don’t get any response today, i’m going to call them again. I’m really upset because it is my fault, not my son’s that it was late. (taxes)

But international students just needed to file the PROFILE to be considered for financial aid. No IDOC was required or additional materials I suppose so

Little letter came in mail today. Wait listed, kinda surprised. Accepted to Colgate and Northeastern with scholarships.

We will expect something in the mail today, then. Congratulations on Colgate and Northeastern. We have had some surprising disappointments, as well.

Waitlisted too. I totally feel it is because the idoc was late.

Wait listed!

So much for demonstrating interest, applying early and with stats above the 75th percentile.

I guess they weren’t kidding when they sent several communications to him suggesting he switch his RD application to EDII. But they also said not to apply ED if you needed merit money to able to afford the school. Oh, well, live and learn–what exactly I’m not sure, except that, if you really want to go to Lafayette, you better be prepared to pay full price.

BTW, for those still waiting for their letters, his friend one zip code away still hasn’t received a decision in the mail, so I’m not sure what’s going on with the USPS these days.

Congrats to everyone who was accepted.

Lucie the lakie- what are your other options ? My son got admitted so far with scholarships to all the other colleges he applied to. Maybe it will make the decision easier.

@LucieTheLake and @shellywelly It really seems to be a competitive year, with a lot more waitlist decisions for many colleges. Hang in there.

Thanks. I really feel that it was fault for not submitting the required idoc on time. He really loved that school. His stats seem well above the mean. It is true, alot of his friends who are exceptional students have surprisingly gotten waitlisted to other schools.
