Where do college kids go to the dentist?

Most college kids go to their hometown dentist. If your child needs a dentist at college, check with the health clinic for a referral. They should have that information available.

I am on the referral list for our local LAC. I usually get several calls during the school year. Frequently wisdom teeth problems, so a good idea to have that done before your child heads off to college.

With a student’s permission, I am happy to call parents to inform and consult about treatment needs.

We were on the December/June schedule until kid was only home a couple days this summer and gets back at Christmas the day after they close for the holidays. I called Delta Dental and it turns out that any Delta Dental dentist is considered “in network”. The wonderfully helpful woman did a 15 mile search near her school and emailed me a list of approved in network dentist and oral surgeons. Kid has a wisdom tooth starting to come in so will need new xrays and a consult. Home town dentist said they were straight and looked to have plenty of room at last x-ray. I mailed her insurance card and send the list and she will ask around for referrals.
