I don’t think I’d put Pratt on there, or any other art school. It is really hard to maintain hipster style perfection when you are covered in paint and charcoal. I think of Pratt as way more crunchy. RISD everyone wears black because that’s what art students do, because you’re pretty much gross all the time from pigments, and black hides it well.
Hipsters are kind of like p0rn-I can’t really describe them, but I know them when I see them…

They’re bundled up at Skidmore too, but probably in thrift store relics, haha! Green canvas field jacket circa Jack Kerouac era comes to mind.

As referenced in the infamous “cool kids thread”, my D was looking for hip nerds, or nerdsters, and she still thinks Carelton had them. I reckon she found some at Kenyon too. The OP is looking for hipsters though, so I am going with USC. I reckon LA is hipster Mecca. NYC is so hip that it disavows its hipness and pretends it isn’t hip, but LA is full of hip poseurs. (Disclaimer, as a native CA girl who grew up in LA, I have permission to say that.) ;))
I knew some hipsters in LA that were retro and hilarious. One decided to learn to play the accordion and then returned to his hometown of Very Unhip-Yet-Hip Origin in the Midwest, and set up a gag store.
Still funny to this day!
