I store stuff in and on top of my wardrobe, and under my bed. My dorm has “loftable” beds, meaning it’s essentially a bunk bed set up for each bed, but only one bed on it. This means we have extra space under the beds for storage, even without lofting it. You can invest in bed risers if you want to raise your bed enough to fit storage containers under it but don’t want it lofted. I really reccomend getting some of those stackable plastic crates; they’re great for storage of laundry detergent and all that other stuff, and at least here they fit on the floor of my wardrobe/closet thing
