Where does Cornell Rank?

Gomestar,

Ah, thats cool. I was a little wary about the size, but I loved the location and all that Cornell had to offer. So, that works good for me.

Cornell is the most dense college town as far as restaurants goes (in this country at least).

Yale is probably the easiest Ivy of them all. I don’t have the grade inflation numbers, but I’ve noticed that Yale is a lot more Rich, my daddy went here and gave a lot of money type of school than any other ivy. Of course all ivys have that, but Yale has more than most. Since they do this, they have fewer intelligent and hard working people than the other ivys and therefore must inflate the grades more.

Does Ithaca have a Korean restaurant or somewhere that serves Korean food? Or do I have to make my own :)

I haven’t heard of or seen any. There’s thai and japanese and most definitely chinese if you’re into those asian cuisines.

Are there a good sushi bars in Ithaca?

ithaca has the most resturants per square mile in the world

I know, that’s one of the reasons why it’s so cool :). I worded my question awkwardly, I was sort of wondering if anyone knew of specific sushi bars in Ithaca that are good (like names and prices).

MaddenBus,
Whats with the Dartmouth hostility? Absolute trash? C’mon its ranked 9th by USNews (which is usually off, but not THAT much) and its so small its virtually incomparable to other Ivies.

Notice the timing of the posts…the last post was over a month ago and MaddenBus’ previous post to this forum was that long ago too. I don’t see the point of bringing back all these stupid threads after they’ve been long dead…

I don’t care where Cornell ranks. But for me, Cornell ranks number 1 !

i dont know if any of you read the sun today but it said that the Johnson school dropped to #36 this year according to the financial times. supposedly the dean is looking into why and how this happened. that is a SHARP decline than last year’s #16 if i’m not mistaken

LOL The differences are so small and it disgusts me how people compare the ivy leagues like we are some 5-year-olds doing a di*k comparing contest.

Anyway, just to join in on the d*ck comparing:

 1. Cornell
 2. Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, Brown, UPenn, Columbia

BAM!!!

Jsmith, the USNWR undergraduate rankings are a joke. If you told an intellectual or academic or corporate leader that Penn and Duke are better than Stanford and MIT, she/he would either think you are kidding or that you are ignorant. Washington University has no business being ranked in the top 20, let alone the top 10. Cornell and Chicago are two of the best universities on Earth and yet, they are almost never ranked in the top dozen of the USNWR overall rankings. Cal and Michigan may not be popular, but they are neverthless top 15 universities according to any measure (most academics and corporate leaders think they are top 10 universities), and yet, they never break into the top 20 of the overall USNWR rankings.

On a side note, I agree that Dartmouth is excellent (definitely top 15 and arguably top 10), but the USNWR is WAY off in most respects.

Why did I start this topic? Its really annoying now

Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Stanford
MIT
Columbia
UChicago
Caltech
Cornell
Berkeley
Darthmout
Brown
Upenn
Duke
Northwestern

notes: Chicago’s academics are understated by this ranking;
UPenn ranked without the business school;
After Berkeley things get a little fuzzy; I don’t thik that I have enough info.

1) harvard yale princeton

2) dartmouth cornell columbia

3) brown upenn

in no particular order.

hmmmmm~~~~~~~~

Thank you for bumping an old and useless thread.
