<p>I’m not a WnL student but I’m prospective for 2010 and have discussed aid a lot with my family/the school. The way WnL works is that they have an extremely large endowment (thanks alums!) and very few students who need it. I think the endowment is around 800 and only about 40% of the student body is on aid. It’s nice to know because it insinuates that it’ll be easy enough to get enough aid if you need it. The Associate Dean of Admin told my mom that they look for students who need aid, that it’s not a deterrant, if that’s helpful. Something about leveling the socioeconomic backgrounds of the students to be more equal.</p>
