<p>The motel is the Lakeshore Ramada. It’s not really that close – 1-1/2-2+ miles away from anything at the University.</p>
<p>I just noticed that the OP stayed in a hotel at O’Hare. That WAS a mistake! Some people will stay at the hotels at Midway Airport, which are cheaper than staying downtown. Midway is about five miles from the University, a 15-20-minute drive or 25-30-minute bus ride if it’s not during a high-traffic time. O’Hare is a loooong way away, much less convenient to use than Midway.</p>
