I would agree that you need to get your realtor lined up . . . yesterday.
We met, recently, with 4 different real estate agents (to discuss the sale of my FIL’s home).
They all told us it is a “seller’s market” and expect this house (that needs a complete tear down) to go within a day (the view, land, and pie-shaped lot are excellent; the 2500 sq. ft. house).
@“aunt bea” - a young co-worker of mine and her H have missed out or been outbid on 8 homes in the past 2 months. I spoke to her H yesterday and he told me they are in escrow on a small home in Carlsbad < 1,900 square feet. They made an offer that was accepted the day the house went on the market!
Yep, agree. The neighbors were all asking about the house yesterday since everyone wants to get a jump on the market in SD.
Our family is taking it really slow. They are not in a hurry to sell, given that my FIL just passed, but the agents appear to be ready to do quick sales.
We are going to rent a home for a while and get to know the area before we buy. Does anyone know how the rental market is? The real estate market is pretty hot in Northern Virginia too, especially if you have a home priced around $500k or less. I have spoken to a couple realtors who are (kind of) helping me find a rental.
I need help finding a realtor in the San Diego area that will help us rent a house and then eventually buy. I’ve been in touch with two realtors and neither appears interested in helping us with the rental end of things. I know that’s no fun and they get paid very little, but it will lead to a sale. If anyone knows someone good could they reply or pm me? Thanks.
