Where to dorm as a freshman?

Lafayette is not cheaper because it has a kitchen (and common area?). Also, it is not for freshmen but upperclassmen. All (or most) dorms for upperclassmen will be more expensive by around $2000 due to the apartment style living.

There was a previous (maybe more than one) thread about the various Freshmen Housing choices earlier this year. Have you seen it (not too long ago)?

Third North is apartment style living (the only one for freshmen) and it now apparently competes with Hayden as the 'social" dorm.
