Which AP is the most USEFUL?

it is all ap spanish. you can get a good job or more money for knowing another lanuage besides english

^

um, arizona here, and i took french.

Stats was cool, but honestly, does the average person need to know how to conduct a matched-pairs t-test?

I vote Psych. Haven’t taken it, but I think it’s popularity reflects its usefulness.

AP computer science + AP calculus BC. Although I’m probably biased because I write 3D engines for fun :P

the best ap classes that will make you the most money in the future is ap physics c, ap calculus ab or bc, ap chemistry, and ap computer science. Engineers make the most money out of college with a bachelor’s degree. Take these if u want to be rich.

besides a couple of probability rules I haven’t learned anything that I would use every day in stat. Who is going to really use a chi square or t test to analyze data in day to day events

I think that calc and physics together are the most useful

engineers dont make most money out of college business majors do, u might not think so cuz ur looking at salary’s but their signing bonus and compenstaion is ike another extra 25,000

How would you use calculus in day to day life? Some basic concepts in physics might be useful, but not much beyond that.

^ lol i know right, its kind of hard to find a use for calculs in daily life unless its a rate problem or something (which are usually quite simple) in that case calc will only help you understand it though…

i think psychology is really useful for health and trivia. if u like traveling art history is brilliant. both spanish and french is useful, no doubt

i think statistics is the most useless ap class. i learned absolutely nothing and had no idea what the teacher was talking about. i hated it, so never did any outside homework or study and yet managed to scrape a 3 miraculously.

I think AP Work Experience is the most enlightening course.

Haven’t heard of AP Work Experience…

Anyways, I believe that psychology is useful, but possibly not the most useful. I just find it interesting how you can find examples of what you learn in nearly every day activity. For example, I’m currently reading Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes. Just by reading the book, you can easily tell (if you took a psychology class) that Daniel Keyes was a psychoanalytic psychologist. Yes, I know this isn’t exactly useful, but it’s cool nonetheless.

@rockermcr

You do know he was joking right?

I read Flowers for Algernon in 7th grade…that was a weird book, and sad.

No I didn’t know he as joking at the time. I don’t perceive things very well on Fridays.

And Flowers for Algernon is a really weird book…

Human Geo can seem like a lot of common sense, but I think the general subject matter is rather important, especially in today’s world. Psych, Econ, US Gov and languages are useful as well.

I take both Ap stats and Ap calc…and they’re both useful. I mean both are really hard to pull out in everyday life if it’s a momentary thing. Imagine if you see a train riding at x speed, unless ur a mathematical prodigy, you’re not gonna figure anything out right away. Same goes for statistics…but i do find counting cards pretty good.
