z4! sneakies a girl and yeah! z4!
bmw’s are so comfortable to drive! I have a pretty little 3 series soemthing and it’s so… nice? lol i dunno. but my friend put on all these stuff onto my car so it looks so pretty!! z4! i’d sooo get it!
My whole neighbourhood is full of mercs, bmws, audis, etc and i dunno much about cars but i’ve had a taste of all of them (my friends’ and family’s) and i’ve driven a z4 before and it looks hot and it drives hot!!
z4z4z4z4z4z4z4z4z4!!!

(yes i might be a little biased… i dunno anything about this corvette lol)
go z4!

Sigh… Well if you’re a girl… and a normal girl… get the Z4…

But if you’ve got a rebellious streak, listen to some rock and roll, a lead foot… the corvette would be cool.

And to a lot of the posters: BS. You know nothing of American cars. Sure a lot of the lower level cars aren’t that great. If you’re just a normal person (ie not a car enthusiast) reliability can play a big part. But if you like cars a lot… you can see the good aspects of American cars. The roar of a V8 can’t be rivalled by the whine of a turbo charger on an I4 or the relative lifelessness of a V6. Turbos have turbo lag, N/A doesn’t. The C6 corvette has something previous vettes have lacked: amazing handling.

Why does everyone have to be polarized on issues like this? You can like domestic and foreign…

Oh, and for the sake of more argument…

rsx - Not that great of a car. Glorified honda civic coupe. Very little horsepower, relatively low torque…
golf tdi - It’s diesel… how exciting can that be?
jetta - What an unexciting car. Nothing wrong with it… just too bland… and we’re talking about Z4s and Corvettes here…
a4 1.8t - Not that bad… S4 is cooler though.

With all that said though… Corvette would be a lot to get used to… I’d either go for a WRX STi or an EVO in this price range. Insane handling… very quick cars.

ok my ex had a 3 series bmw. His prob was that he wanted underbody lights and a sound system. BMW sound proofs their car. the stock system sounds like crap. in order for the system to sound nice… ull have to keep the back seats down… or u will have to cut holes in the back piece by the window for the sound to vent through. if you dont… the sound is muffled and it sounds like a system in the background. the underbody is flat so it’s hard to have underbody lights without them being exposed if exposed… its illegal. his dad had a vet… which he was gonna buy offa him however i thought it was a ■■■■■■■■ idea. it holds only one other person. Since ur a girl… i think there would be a time you would wanna take the girls out… n u cant cause the dumb thing only has 1 other seat. I would say stay away from those cars as they are not practical. I say look in 350Z or … hell i’d be satisfied with the new cobalts they are bringin out. there are many other nice looking cars out there that would be more practical.

I agree with previous poster. the WRX’s are much sweet. You can do a lot to them and they have NUTS… rode in one and omg it was tight

Corvette… hands down and I’m a girl. I love driving, though. When I had my 911 I’d get all these wierd looks from guys who’d pull up beside me and be shocked that a teenage girl was rocking a restored 911. Z4s are just so… normal. They remind me of Z3s and I really don’t like those. Plus, I think the interior of a corvette is more comfortable than the Z4s interior.

That being said, I’d get a cheaper car now and then get another on when you graduate. I wouldn’t want my $50K car to get dinged up and scratched while it sat in the parking lot. Whatever… I’ve been looking into that new Solstice and figure that with a sub $20K price tag my parents would be willing to pitch in for another car when I graduate from schooling(after grad school… maybe in 6-7 years)

I’m a big fan of two seaters… then I don’t have to drive random people around.

Get a Toyota Prius or a Honda Insight and give the remaining money to charity. Given your original question, I’d advise against your donating to your favored political party.

the corvette would kick the crap out of the Z4 if you like driving… the Z4 is just an expensive miata to me… the vette is just plain fast… if you drive fast, the vette is by far the better car. however this is just a guys perspective… the vette is much sportier and the Z4 is more of a “cute” girls car. as a guy, i would take the vette, but if ur not going to use all that power, then get the Z4. its more suitable for a girl… why dont you tell us what you want out of your car? there are better choices out there though… take the M3 or some other BMW…

I would get the…wait, how can you afford a freakin beamer or corvette? are you paying for all of it, or splitting it with your parents. since this is college confidential, i would suggest getting something less expensive and use the money saved to pay for college. oh, and buy american made for goodness sake.

You do realize that most American cars are made in Mexico, and most Japanese cars are made in America. This goes for Germans too, they are mostly made here, except for the very expensive models. So if you want to support the U.S. buy Japanese or European, not American, because it is only leading to more outsourcing.

if its your first car, dont get a sportscar. cuz you WILL get into a crash sooner or later (hopefully just a fender bender). and with an expensive car like that, its gonna be a ***** to pay for. get a sweet sedan, like an infiniti g35. oh wait thats expensive too, but since its slower i guess not as high-risk? idk just know that youll probably crash sooner or later, its part of learning how to drive.

so damn lucky to be spoiled like that. hope youll be able to buy them for yourself when ur older, cuz if you gotta downgrade ur cars when you make ur own money, thatll really suck. (girl’s parents in my school got her a brand-new acura rsx after she crashed her first brand-new rsx like 9 times. ■■■■■■■■ girl.)

:] My parents are paying for it because they think I deserve it. I would love to get a Lamborgini or a Ferrari. LOL They said I could get that after college. :] I think Sportcars are sexy. Maybe I should check out the corvettes. Hahaha to make the guys jealous. jp :] I don’t know. Thanks for all the ideas you guys!

A teenager in a Lambo or Ferrari is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Unless you have some serious race training, they are beasts and they will kill you, no questions asked. I hope you are just yanking our chains, because if your parents are seriously considering those cars they must have no clue about cars, or must want to off you. They are not toys, they are race machines made for the sole purpose of enjoyment by those who are in love with them, and trained well enough to drive them.

I’m not yanking your chains. I just want opinions. My parents do know about cars. Off with me? Heh, I don’t think so. I know they are not toys. I’m not 5 years old bigndude. I’m not that dumb to not know that they are racec machines. xP

But obviously you think you can drive one, and be safe. Honestly you must go to race car driving school before you drive something like that. Ferraris are my dream car but I refuse to touch one without race car driving school. And if you plan on having a daily car Ferraris and lambos are definitely not it. Unless your parents are willing to fork over 50 grand a year upkeep and insurance its a pretty stupid thing. Because Italians have very very very very expensive upkeeps on em, and driving one daily would require frequent tunes ups which cost about 5 grand per time. Plus driving something that is not confortable on normal roads is not worth it. If you must have a fast car get an M3, or M5, or even M6. Or look at an AMG Merc, but definitely not Ferrari until you have driven for about 10 years and haven’t crashed.
