<p>Ok, I see. Sorry for my assumptions. What im really trying to get at here is find other colleges that I would like. Like i said before, I have very little to no knowledge of any of the colleges under HYPS etc, and im going to be realistic and assume i probably won’t get into those. I know that i would really prefer a school that matches my academics, as BDM puts it: “you want to be a good academic match for your program.” Since i do have competitive grades and solid SAT scores, i want a more elite school than the average joe cause im pretty confident i could pull that off. I know that I should be looking for a “field diverse school” but that doesn’t mean i want to go to a school with a weak or overrated pre med courses/teachers. </p>
<p>At this point, i don’t think I’m even asking the right questions. I haven’t applied to any colleges because I don’t even know any colleges. Like I said, this “list” is more of a way for me to find some competitive colleges other than the obvious ones. My school’s guidance counselor is new and I’ve talked to her a few times. Frankly, shes not much help to be honest. I may be wrong or stupid or whatever, but a second opinion usually won’t hurt me right? So thats what I am really trying to ask for I guess… Any ideas?</p>
