Which journalism schools are considered better ones?

I’ve heard very good things about Washington States journalism school, and my daughter has been accepted to WSU and their honors college, but she is choosing ASU’s Walter Cronkite School and we have been very impressed with their program so far.

We’ve toured Syracuse, USC and NYU and ASU’s Cronkite school beat them all hands down. The facility is brand new and state of the art, their students have won a ton of journalism awards, and the faculty is amazing. In addition, they are one of only two schools (Northwestern is the other) that offer the BAMC program - combined bachelors and masters degree program through a collaboration with the Barrett Honors college.

This week we attended an information session at the campus that was specifically for incoming freshmen interested in the BAMC journalism program. The information session was top notch, we heard from the Dean of the Cronkite and the Dean of Barrett, they had a tour for the students, and then a question and answer session with the Dean and various other administrators, and a presentation by Aaron Brown - a former CNN anchor and current professor. We stayed for the Monday night guest speaker - Brian Storm of mediastorm.com (they have a different guest speaker each Monday evening). All in all, a great experience and we are sold on the school (as were most of the people who attended the info session).
