If you’re concerned about quality, North Face and JansPort backpacks are manufactured by the same company. So, if budget is an issue, you may want to look at JansPort backpacks, as well. Although I will admit that I like the look of the North Face backpacks better.
Also, if you are a Costco member, there are some pretty nice-looking High Sierra backpacks on sale in store and online for only $15.99. They look pretty well made, and with Costco’s return policy, you should be able to get a refund if the backpack doesn’t hold up.
