@ucbalumnus Should i take a risk with Stevens Institute of Technology , seeing its salary potential , and also i have been admitted into its most popular major of mechanical engineering
VT and Stevens have career surveys. The pay levels found by recent graduates in mechanical engineering are not much different (beware of the difference between median and average pay, though).

Couldn’t find any such thing for IIT. Maybe @xraymancs can provide a link?
@ucbalumnus I am going for undergraduate 1st year …
I will ask around, not sure if it is online.
@ucbalumnus I recently got my decision on NYU Poly and Purdue…Unfortunately i was rejected from NYU Poly and got rejected in the main campus of purdue but was offered admission purdue’s regional campus…
Seeing all things like costs and my interest in robotics , i have found out that VT is a really good school which is both manageable cost wise and is also highly regarded in the robotics field …so thinking of getting admission in VT …
What do u think…?
Sorry about your rejections from NYU Poly and Purdue! However, VT is a great school to attend. You say it is affordable plus it is very good in the STEM field you wish to pursue. You’ve already made up your mind, it sounds like.
@TheDidactic yeah i will most probably be going to Virginia Tech , but the thing i am still wondering is if i get selected with enough scholarship from WPI where i was waitlisted (its decision will come on MAY1)…but what my father gathered some informations from his colleagues and friends in USA , very few means literally only 1 of them knew about WPI and so what do u say ?
i am in general’s engineering in VT and applied to “Robotics Engineering” at WPI
Don’t worry about what other people think. VT is a great school where you will receive a solid education. Most importantly, it is affordable. That is really the most important thing. WPI is mainly a New England known school because it is smaller–it’s not as widely known as VT but you shouldn’t let neighbors’ and friends’ idea of your school’s prestige stop you. If you love the school, you love it. No one else is going there or paying for it except for you, so your opinion matters.
Thanks a lot @TheDidactic , that meant alot to me
