WHO ALL is applying to OXFORD at Emory..lets get a thread going!

<p>I just took a class last semester and there were 2 A’s out of 24 people. The rest of us got a B+ or lower, and this was a 100 level class (meaning it is meant for freshman or sophomores to take). There is no scale, and the tests take about 100 hours to study for over the month you have in between tests. The way the tests are designed make it hard to excel on them. There is a lot of “fill in the blank” on tests (with no word key, haha) on top of multiple choice, short answer and essay questions. If you take easy classes, it is easy to do well, but if you’re pre-med, nursing or business its a different story. The classes weed out the unfit, so I guess it is harder than most colleges. BTW- I went to main campus under 10 times last semester. I went for halloween because there were 20+ kegs at a block party on on-campus apartments, and I go sometimes to the library at Main campus because you can download music and get any DVD for free, and the environment in the library at main campus is much nicer. A lot more money gets dumped into main campus, but it is also more expensive to go there. I find I have the most fun at Oxford because I don’t need to find a ride anywhere, and I always get to do what I want to do for the most part there…
