Bowdoin coaches probably are no different from other DIII coaches in urging EDI for their recruits. S was recruited 2 years ago and was considering other options, so applied EDII instead of EDI. He was admitted. The important thing to know is whether coach is supporting your application and where you are on the coach’s list if coach is supporting your app. Coach should also let you know how likely admission is based on non-athletic resume. The sooner a coach can firm up the team and lock up his/her top recruits, the better it is for the coach. There are opportunities for walk-ons, too, at Bowdoin in some sports.
