All of the things you just mentioned: good scores, lots of APs, and not conforming to what many people have come to expect of ‘math/science asian applicants’

I have a 2090 SAT, 750 math 2 700 USH 680 Physics, 4 APs - Cal, Physics, USH, World H - 4’s on all

play violin in church youth orchestra, and more ECs

I received a likely letter

3.9/4.62 ^ a little better sat scores , was not even offered an interview??? not even an explanation why I was not offered an interview???

Columbia doesn’t automatically give interviews. You may just live in an area where there aren’t many alumni to give interviews. Getting an interview doesn’t mean you’re a better applicant. Relax.

To be honest, it seems like you do well and therefore have as good a shot as anyone. The schools are not looking for a “cutoff” as long as you are within a certain range, which you definitely are. I’d say go for it, if it’s your dream…you have nothing to lose and you definitely do have a chance!

epic, EPIC fail hpl629
