<p>In past years the “last batch” has included a mix of acceptances and rejections. As there have been no rejections so far, a better conclusion is that the “last batch,” which is very likely to include some acceptances, has not yet been sent.</p>

<p>Perhaps the person who knows someone who knows someone was referring to your application in particular.</p>
