My senior year is gonna be fun :]

My senior schedule is pretty lethargic compared
to all of ya’ll schedules

AP Psychology
AP English Literature

That it =D

@strawberrymilk: you are my IDOL!

Junior Year Schedule:

Honors English 11
AP Government and Politics
AP French
AP Chemistry
AP Computer Science
AP Statistics
AP US History
AP Literature
Calculus III and IV @ Columbia Dual enrollment
Electricity & Magnetism II and Linear Algebra this summer @ Columbia

O_o

This kinda all depends on what school you go to. Top schools’ normal classes are much harder in terms of workload and depth than AP courses. I took AP stat, USH (not the ush class, my school’s ush class), and BC Calc this year. The AP’s were a joke.

You guys must go to really easy schools…

Junior Year
AP Language
AP Calculus BC
AP Computer Science A
AP Environmental Science
AP Physics B
AP Microeconomics
AP Macroeconomics

Senior Year
AP Literature
Advanced Engineering Physics
Multivariable Calculus
Differential Equations
Political Science 101
IB Economics HL
AP Chemistry
ROP FIRST Robotics!!!

Why do you guys just fill up your schedule with AP classes? I’ve found some of the more interesting and rewarding classes at my school to not have the AP label and I’m sure that’s the case at your schools as well. :/

I hate my private school Im taking only seven APs out of like the available 11. >.>

I go to a very small school which only offers 5 APs. I suppose that’s a blessing in a way and a curse in another.

junior:

ap calculus ab
ap physics b
ap us history
ap economics
ap comp gov.
ap eng lang
pre-ap spanish literature
honors chemistry
ap german

i think the amount of work really depends on the teacher…even if some ppl may find calculus ab easy, it’s going to be hard for me since the teacher at my school gives us a hectic amount of hw.

Senior:

Post Secondary Statistics
Multivariable Calc
AP Gov (Comparative and US)
AP Latin
AP English Lit
Honors Physics
Religion (required)

Not nearly as bad as most of these, but it won’t necessarily be a cakewalk.

Multivariable/Linear Algebra
AP US Gov
AP Lit
AP Physics C
AP Psychology
AP French
Adv. Band

Not the toughest by any stretch of the imagination…
AP Calc AB
AP Physics B
AP Lit
Dual Enroll : Political Science (gov’t) 101 and 102. Health 101. Environmental Studies 116: Energy and Natural Resources.

I may take Psych and APES Exams for the fun of it… lolz…

i don’t know what my courseload next year will be; this was my courseload for my junior year:

IB HL English
IB HL Math
IB HL Chemistry
IB HL Economics
IB SL Mandarin
IB SL Visual Arts
IB TOK
AP French Lang
AP Physics C M/E&M
AP Chem
AP Bio

How did you take 11 classes? Self-studying?

Junior Year:
APUSH
AP Chem
AP Physics C: Mechanics
AP Calculus AB
Honors English III
AP French Lang/French III mix class

self-study:
AP Human Geography
AP Psychology
AP Physics C: E&M
AP English Language
AP Calculus BC

AcaDec x_x

study for SAT IIs

by far not the most competitive but I think I will die.

Gah not me! Our school only offers 3 APs for seniors and no one has even attempted to self-study (I have a strong feeling that our guidance office would “strongly suggest against it”).

This year I had:
AP Spanish Language
AP Psychology
AP Environmental Science
AP Economics
AP Physics B
AP Spanish Literature
IB Math Studies

Self Study:
AP Calc AB
AP Biology
AP French

SAT Biology
SAT Math II
SAT French
SAT Spanish

but, hell, some of you guys owned my schedule…idk how u guys do it.

Definitely not the toughest. A lot of our APs (Psychology, Spanish, Biology) our jokes. It just so happens that those are the ones I’m taking next year :P

Junior Year:
-Marching Band (I’m a Drum Major)
-Wind Ensemble
-AP Biology
-AP English Language
-AP Spanish IV [Taking Spanish Language Test]
-AP Psychology
-Pre-Calculus (This is me being a TOTAL slacker. I could have tested out of this and gone to AB Calc!) – I’ve already read the entire Pre-Calc book…haha

Possible Self-Study (For Junior Year if I want some crazy AP Awards…otherwise I will spread them between Junior/Senior year):
-AP Macroeconomics
-AP Microeconomics
-AP Statistics
-AP Human Geography
(Self-studying these because my school doesn’t offer them and I want to go into business)

***I think I’m going to accept the fact that the National AP Scholar is beyond my reach, considering AP’s dont start at my school until Junior Year. So I think I’ll self-study economics this year and Statistics/Human Geography next year. Opinions?

Senior year:
-Marching Band
-Wind Ensemble
-AP Calc AB [Taking BC Test–the BC class conflicts with band]
-AP Spanish V [Taking Spanish Literature Test; so taking an EASY class and reading those books on my own time]
-AP U.S. Government
-AP English Literature
-[Undecided] Either AP Music Theory OR AP Comparative Government

So, if all goes according to plan, 13 APs? Not bad, considering my school offers 13.

Anyone think I’m going in too deep? The only actual classes with work will be English Lang. and English Lit. The others, I’ve been told, are all simply jokes. In AB Calc, they actually ask you what grade YOU THINK you deserve. Needless to say, everyone gets A’s and B’s. The real test comes down to the AP Test! That’s really all I have to worry about; I need adequate studying time for the tests.

For self-studiers: With a schedule like mine, when should one begin self-studying? [Eco. Junior year; Stats/Human Geography Senior year]

…wow. Wall of text ;x

^Well you could self-study those 4 APs and get National Scholar Award… My school also doesn’t offer APs till junior year, hence my self-studying 5… >.< One person has done it before at my school, so I’m hoping I can be a second person.
