@acceptmealready: Sorry for the super late reply! But yeppp I applied EA to UChicago as well and I really really want to get in there too! (also - I LOVE Chipotle. Did anyone else have Chipotle when they visited Penn? :P)

@mwrecks: your description of UChicago vs Penn was AWESOME and perfectly explains why I’ve come to love both as well

Which creative essay option did you guys pick? And btw do you know when we find out about UChicago??

Btw guys - what exactly is the AEM program at Cornell like? Is it good or too new to know more about?

@empaige21: HAHAHA that’s hilarious omg “said the actress to the bishop” LOL - see this is why I don’t get why people want to go to the UK for college (and omg I so didn’t know that you and acceptmealready were best friends lol)
And also - tell your mom decisions come out at 7 lol tell her it changed and you got it all wrong before. Then either way - you’re better off. By the way, which school have you applied to at Penn?

and @laodicean: omg I LOVE cheeeeese. Pepperjack anyone??

I literally woke up 4 times in the course of last night (which never happens usually - I can sleep through pretty much ANYTHING) and every. Single. Time. I realized that we still had 4 more days to go because in each of my dreams, it was either the hour or day before decisions.

I’m so scareddddd

Does anyone realize our lives can CHANGE after Friday?
No pressure though lol :P

Honestly though it’ll be really rough coming back to CC and seeing that some of us have gotten in while others among us haven’t i wonder which group I’ll be in ahhh this sucks.

Which creative essay option did you guys pick? And btw do you know when we find out about UChicago?? I picked Dont Write about reverse psychology. oh and the 15th

Btw guys - what exactly is the AEM program at Cornell like? Is it good or too new to know more about? I am applying for ILR if i dont get into Penn or Chicago

Did anyone apply to Penn SEAS Computer Science?

On a side note, who’s eaten the bestest-most-awesomest cookies at Penn or the other college campuses called Insomnia Cookies? They are so delicious <3

Did anyone else on here apply ED as a double legacy or even a single legacy? Trying to figure out where I fit in, my parents and a lot of my extended family went to Penn but I’ve only got a 3.2 although I got a 2300 and some pretty strong extra-curriculars. The alumni who interviewed me said he’d be surprised if I didn’t get in but I’m not sure if I trust him.
Oh and applied as a comp sci major.

Also, I forgot to ask, did anyone NOT submit SAT 2 subject test scores? I had the flu the first time I took them, so I canceled them and then when I took them again in November because I took them standby so the scores still aren’t available… but Penn never contacted me? I emailed them and they sent a poorly worded email back saying if I sent them the scores they would add them to my file… but they never told me I needed them

@kristinabrown, finally a worthwhile question:

I don’t exactly have cheesy jokes, but I have dozens of nerdy pick up lines.

One is: You are as hot as an exothermic reaction, your hotness spreads everywhere.

Another common one is: If you were sin^2 and I was cos^2, together we would be 1.

You are so hot, you denature my proteins.

This one is more cheesy: Our love is like 1 divided by 0, it is undefined.

This one is a bit more inappropriate, but its funny: Do you know Platform 9 and 3/4? Well, I happen to know something with the exact same measurements.

I know a couple more, but can’t think of them right now.

I did freshmen through junior year, but this year i transferred to the local public high school and I’m a part time senior taking three classes at the local community college. Took college classes over the summer as well.

@oldknave…i applied ed as a double legacy with tons of extended family. not exactly proud of the whole admission advantage thing, but since I LOVE penn i am grateful that i have that to help me. I have a 3.8, 33 on act, strong extracurriculars and i plan in majoring in philosophy. idk if that helps you…

@acceptmealready
sounds good. Did you have an admissions interview, and if so did the interviewer say anything about your chances?
I agree about the advantage thing. I know double legacy students that apply early decision have the highest acceptance rate of any demographic group. It is what it is in terms of being fair, I agree about Penn I’m a Philly native living in Baltimore so I would love to be able to go back.
