I think our wishes are very common, haha. Neat! Look at me, I’m zooming around Cornell!

@winona: oh God, haha, then I pray my decision comes tomorrow or Saturday.

Thanks, molly! Good to know. And congrats on getting in again ^_^

Thanks, molly! Good to know. And congrats on getting in again ^_^

good to know, thanks molly. what type of room are you requesting??

A single in the West Campus…my first choice.
Thanks again Water… Nite-nite everyone

i also requested West if possible…
people keep talking about libe slope, though… is it REALLY that bad?? if you’re walking/biking, that is

ahhh a single on west is also my first choice!!! youre so lucky you get to request it already ![]()
and yes, the slope is terrible. take the bus up and then ride your bike or walk around is my suggestion.

The slope is fine, I imagine it’s worse when you have to carry heavy textbooks, but there are really long, steep hills here in Providence that you get used to walking up and down every single day. Also, the majority of RISD buildings don’t have elevators, so you have to walk up and down 5 flights up stairs with very heavy bulky art supplies. So I guess I’m used to it lol.

Wearing heels kind of helps too (walking up a hill at least) though in icy weather you’ll probably end up killing yourself soooo GRIPPY BOOTS FTW

awww…im watching the realtime cam at cornell
they seem cold…wearing jackets and everything. its still just a bit chillly in GA… lol zooming in is kinda cool…i love this web cam…beautiful campus!!

hhaha youre welcome guys! i’m glad i turned you all into fellow stalkers.

i’m sick
but i’m going to see disney on ice this weekend!

Thanks alot for the advice east. I am still shocked by no applications will be reviewed before early December! Like why? I am also hearing early offers by mid December. This cant be real. How do they expect us to prepare to come to Cornell if admitted with such a short time span until the next semester starts? Dont forgot some people might have vacation plans. I really think this is just a front. I think they are really going to shock some people who weren’t expecting that big package in the mail until much later.

Got this email from ILR:

“I still dont see where the processing center has processed your Midterm Grade Report. This is not to say the center doesnt have the materials only that they havent caught on the processing of the materials. However, since time is short here by which we need to review your application materials, it would be helpful if you could complete the attached Mid-term Grade Report as quickly as possible. Please know that all instructors should be able to award a grade for their class up to this point in time regardless of whether or not a midterm exam has been given or if mid-term grades are not yet posted. The completed form should be scanned or faxed to me as soon as possible at and my fax information is 607-254-1251.”

December is just absolutely absurd. That can’t be possible

wellllllll riley, humec people said up to january, so considering that, that’s really not that bad. it’s kind of ridic. someone at transfer day brought up the issue of housing if we don’t even know until that late, and so the question was “are we still guaranteed housing?” the answer was “yes and no.” and then they went on to explain that yes if you still manage to apply by the deadline (dec 15), but no if it’s after that because after that date there’s no guarantee. ridiculous, but what can you do?

I can almost see December (as in the 1st through maybe like the 10th), but January!? That’s impossible. Everyone else would have housing already and would have orientation scheduled and schwat not…I mean they cannot be serious (to pull a Johnny Mac).

So wait, ironic, would anyone who hears after dec 15th be allowed to apply for housing? How would they even do so?

I’m guessing valvsu and Az didn’t hear today, I didn’t either. :(

Maybe it’ll be the lucky 13th for us? One can hope.

Anyway, in regards to mentioning the hills at Cornell, I can’t wait. I’m a runner, so a good jog (even in snow) always includes a challenge.

Don’t even say January. If I don’t get housing, I can’t go. I mean, that’s just dumb. Move your butt, Cornell

also, commas rule

so today totally blew until a few minutes ago: i got a new car and a blackberry ![]()
but seriously everything went wrong today until about 10 minutes ago. i would have actually killed myself if i had gotten a rejection letter today. omg, anytime andy gets mail from cornell (like today), i always think it’s for me and it’s always small envelopes, right, so i basically have a heart attack on a daily basis :(

Emine…don’t kill yourself!!! You are toooo loved.
I think everyone will hear by Dec. 10th. I am sending positive thoughts your way!!
:)

^ I completely agree with Molly. This week has gone by so fast. I’ll keep insisting that starting next week, decisions will be coming and going. A la Bette Davis, " Fasten your seat belts, is going to be a bumpy ride" I’m cheering for all of us. I still have hopes that we won’t see any rejection among the CC group
It never hurts to dream.

B-lated Congrats East!!

:D

I started thinking they are taking this much time in order to make RIHGT decisions. And I believe Cornell will make really right decisions for us

I agree valv, if it’s meant to be, it’ll be. We’ve still got 2 more days of this week, let’s see what happens! Have a good weekend, guys.

Any plans for Thanksgiving?
lol
