Who's applying for Spring transfer 10'-Cornell?

Az…hold up hold up!! lol Did you say your friend chews with his/her mouth coz he or she is asian? I mean excuse me? What kind of statement is that?

As a Japansese guy, I will have to say the Japanese do care about eating manners like crazy. Chewing with your mouth open is like out of the question. And well…if you were not talking about a Japanese person…hmmm never mind. A lot of other asians have that kinda attitude and that ****es me off especially when I’m in a Chinese buffet. haha

Do Chinese people really go to Chinese buffets?

and east…you have amazing vocab…ill have to get my dictionary to fully understand you

LOL I’m chinese/taiwanese american myself but I notice that whole smacking food around in your mouth a lot with some taiwanese people (though my friend’s taiwanese american, her parents are hardcore asian, my roommate’s from Taiwan). My sister’s in Japan in a teaching program and I’ve been there before, when I went there I felt like a super fat barbarian…=( I didn’t know it was rude to stand up and eat in public either, at the time. Sigh.

Yeahhhh well Chinese buffets = cheaper and sometimes, free bubble tea! You just have to go to the right buffet. Haha.

Oh…I feel bad…sorry I didn’t mean to be rude to you…Az…I mentioned a Chinese buffet just for humor. I hope I didn’t offend you

Thank you, Val. I really appreciate that. I don’t think it’s that impressive, but you’re the second person on this site to say that.

It’s all about cultural relativism. I’m sure other places around the world consider American customs to be quite lurid.

I assumed that Chinese people don’t really go to Chinese buffets since they don’t really serve Chinese food from my experience.

That’s probably true. I don’t know so much about true Chinese food but the dishes served at those buffets are probably very Americanized

Speaking of dishes, last night with my friends we went for dinner and my friend said she could wash dishes as her job. And I said “Dishing washes is not fun to have for your job” then…“wait…what did I just say” lol

A large percentage of the meals which are served in Chinese food restaurants originate in America.

Lol @ dishing washes.

the essay i put a lot of effort in to is gone. i thought i saved it on my computer but i cant find it. am i gonna do the whole thing again? ghaahha…i could throw this computer and smash it

I like eggrolls?..

lol water…i do too.

im almost crying…i spend a whole day for the essay and it was just 3 words short of the max, so it was perfect…

i need eggrolls…lol

Your Cornell essays?

If you PMd it to anyone or sent it to the yahoo group, it’ll still be on those.

oh no lol it’d be too late for that, i think. that was for something else. its my fault. i will stay up tonight and finish it up probably

O I thought you just wanted to read your cornell essays again.

If you’re using word 2007, it should have auto-saved. I’m not sure if earlier iterations of word use that feature.

NoooooooooOOOOOOoooo I got a 93 on my midterm DAMMIT T_T
(This is a bad thing because it’s a class that’s below the level of chemistry I took 2 years ago in high school lol)

NOooOOooo

ahhh azu chem was my worst grade ever, so be proud of that 93! i would kill for 90’s in chem :frowning: i got one 95 and that’s it.

and water, thanks for the kind words. but everyone, i really can’t tell you how much i love cornell. things i love: andy and cornell tied for first place, disney world second. i don’t have a middle name, and if i get accepted, i’m making my middle name cornell. 100% serious. and i’m considering getting a cornell tattoo. i’m in love with everything about cornell. i could seriously spend forever there.

and my boyfriend is chinese  actually, for you nassau county/long islanders, he always takes me into flushing for “authentic” chinese food since it’s about as close as you can get. i wish i could speak mandarin. i can say a few things: i love you, you’re my little baby (…lol), and give me a kiss. and i can count to 10 lol. mad skillz

what’s everyone doing for the weekend? i’ve been in my bed for the last 20 hours. i’m all doped up on OTC drugs but i guess they’re sort of working? i can’t sleep though so if anyone has any tips on how to make that happen, please tell me. i’m only leaving my room to see disney on ice tomorrow, and even that’s depending on whether i can make the drive to the venue without crashing into something. maybe i’ll get my mommy to drive me.

Speaking of middle names, I was thinking of changing my middle name to Of.

Then I would be Terron Of East. I’ve seriously considered this.

LOL can you please, that would be golden

i don’t have a middle name, but my name is italian and last name french (my mom’s family is italian, and my dad’s family is hispanic/french. (what a mess) lol

East, that will be awesome!!!

Acc, I’m in the same boat as you. I have no middle name either. But that’s because my parents had the brilliant idea to combine their names. I think having a name that is a mix of three is bad enough lol. My ethnicity is total jambalaya also lol I’m Spanish, Italian, real taino (which is Puerto Rico’s native people) and well Puerto Rican. And that’s just from my mom’s side. I don’t even want to know from my father side lol. Either way, having so many ethnicities comes with the territory of being Puerto Rican hahaha

To answer Ironic’s questions, this weekend I’m going to see 2012 and maybe go to dinner. Other than that no big plans :frowning: It’s ok in about a week my aunt is coming with my 3 cousins (two boys 6 and 3 and a baby grl who is 2). And guess who is going to take care of the little munchkins??? me! So, I’m pretty sure I’ll very busy soon.

Oh, and I just finished watching Criminal Minds. I have a total platonic crush on Dr. Spencer Reid. I love nerds! Every time they get all smarty, geeky and awkward, I find it so cute, sexy and adorkable  lol I’m sorry for the extra info guys hahahaha

Ironic, Sweetie I am glad ur resting  Hope u get better by tomorrow. Or at least get some what coordinated haha
