<p>i think it gives more opportunity to stand out though. even if you’re with the best and the brightest of the nation, you are with the best and brightest of extracurricular programs, courses, teachers, and most of all, environments. of course being one of the best at a private school that is semi-renowned may be great, but what if you’re just as blah and generic as the next “best people at a private school”? what if your school literally offers nothing for YOU to stand out?</p>
