Why did Chelsea Clinton choose Stanford?

Pretty sure C means Chelsea… as in Clinton.

C = Chelsea

Stanford got her out of the whole eastern Washington rat race.

Also, secuirty on Stanford’s sprawling campus would have been much easier for the Secret Service than at less landed eastern schools. At the time she attended, Clinton was still in office and Chelsea had to be protected at the highest possible level to prevent blackmail of the POTUS if her security was compromised.

Someone asked a few posts back if there are any famous children currently at Stanford: Tim Geithner’s daughter and Michael J Fox’s son are the only two I know of.

Ironically enough, the year she entered, Chelsea had as a freshman classmate the son of Ken Starr, the guy who was ferociously prosecuting her Dad at that very time for perjury during the Monica-gate impeachment scandal. I suppose many of you are too young to remember that …

a Time story has it that big C, bill, steered her toward S than to H; he felt H was too anxious to have a president’s daughter.

let’s NOT forget that she got in S because of her last name (she may have been qualified, and so are thousand others!)
