Why didn't I get into the honors college?

<p>If what we see on the web site is to be taken at face value, it’s your class rank. Your CR + M is > 1400 but the UHC also requires you to be in the top 5% of your class.</p>

<p>I get what you’re saying about being penalized for following your interests rather than sticking to heavily-weighted classes. My S stayed with band all four years despite no weighting and chose French over Spanish where he could have finished with an AP course rather than the hodgepodge of weighting the French program has. He’s managed to stay near the top of his class, but the likely valedictorian isn’t exactly looking over her shoulder. :)</p>
