<p>@ OP: I transferred into Duke this year for program reasons (even though I wanted to go back to my old school after I heard I got acceptance into Duke, Duke also had a very strong program in my major that was quite limited at my previous school). I had the same impression of Duke too before coming here. As a Duke student, I can tell you those people exist here, but the majority of people here are polite and friendly. To be honest, I view it as entertaining more so than anything else. I think it is pretty cool that Duke has such a diverse student body in terms of personalities… no student body would be diverse without the dbags
