Why do u want to go to dartmouth?

Cinderelly, I totally agree with what you are talking about, and its totally like that.

As for Dartmouth overlaps, from talking to people it seems there is heavy overlap with the other Ivies in one group, and overlap with people applying to LACs in another.

I’m going because unlike many other so-called pretige-schools, Dartmouth does not seem full of itself.

It’s a
real place with a real and therefore unique feel with
real and therefore unique people with
real and therefore unique interests with
real and therfore unique things to do with
real and therefore unique experiences with
real and therefore unique life and
really and therefore I’m goin’ to Dartmouth to keep it real…

check that out all you prestige seeking Ivy-league suckers:cool:

I prefer Dartmouth because, like someone else said, compared to all the other Ivy League universities Dartmouth is the less ****y and stuck up one. The people on the Dartmouth thread appear to be less full of themselves and more down to earth, which is awesome considering these are the people you will have to be with for a four-year period.

If I had a choice between Princeton or Dartmouth, I in all honesty would choose Dartmouth. I heard Dartmouth had a great English/Creative Writing program so that’s a big plus in my book.

She makes a good point. I peeked at the Harvard forum once, and everybody was talking about how amazing their SAT scores are, and telling everybody ELSE that they didn’t have a shot at getting in. A far cry from the supportive atmosphere that seems to be the norm here :-)
