Temple:

VERY diverse, and when I say that, I mean it. People like to say their school is diverse, but it’s likely not. Temple is one of the 5 most diverse schools in the country and in every way: geographically (nationally and internationally), ethnically/racially, politically, economically, sexually, etc.

Big school, but not too big. Big enough for tons of options socially and in terms of clubs, but small enough where you run into the same people every day.

Professors are very accessible and good about meeting before and after class 1-on-1.

Classes are not huge with just a few exceptions

Brand new, state of the art business school building and art school building

Great on campus basketball arena

Friendly, laid back student body

Good amount of food options on campus

Campus is nice and always expanding and improving

Suite style dorms are awesome

Social life is very relaxed. Very few people are in frats, and partying isnt a necessity in order to have fun

Availability of cheap, crappy Chinese places that are open til 3 AM

Proximity to Center City Philadelphia, which has anything anyone could want
Proximity to the arena complex in South Philly to see the Phillies, Flyers, Sixers, Eagles
Proximity to the music scene, which has every genre imaginable

Tons of options in terms of majors and minors, and the ease of cross majoring/minoring in different schools

Very well respected in the Philadelphia region and internationally, and continuing to gain respect nationally

One of the best NCAA basketball teams historically, and contends for conference championships and NCAA tournament berths virtually every year

A football team that has improved significantly over the last 4 years, and was one incomplete hail mary away from a division championship, a chance at a conference championship and a Bowl Game.

Small (and growing) but vocal group of passionate sports fans, who make their presence felt, and literally make other teams’ players cry. Fans who can outcheer 10,000 Penn State fans at their own basketball arena.

Very friendly athletes, who dont think they’re above everyone else, and are actually very approachable.

Go Owls.
